Yarmouth and Newbury…

Three runners are settled in at Yarmouth ahead of racing this afternoon. First to go will be Expediate who makes his second career start this afternoon in the 1.50 pm EBF Novice Stakes over 6 furlongs. Looks to be quite a tough race and the forecasted rain and thunder may not be too his liking.  Luke Morris gets the ride for Mr Gough, Mr Henry, Mr Reid and Mr Swinburn.  Onto the 3.50 pm 46-60 Handicap Stakes where Double Spin and Kiringa face each other over the minimum trip.  Both horses are looking in pretty good shape and working nicely here at home.  It would be great to see them both keep in with the field and produce a good result.  Fingers crossed for Josephine Gordon on board Double Spin for Newsells Park Stud and to Luke Morris on board Kiringa for Manor Farm Stud.

Lastly to Newbury for the evening meeting where we have another 2 year old making his debut in the 6 furlong Novice Stakes at 7pm.  Bobby’s Charm is a good, strong looking horse who was purchased for 135,000gns at the Tattersalls Craven Breeze Up Sale in April.  He is fit and well and raring to get off the mark.  Pat Cosgrave gets the leg up for the Cool Silks Partnership.
