What happened during 2025?

2025 was a super year in terms of winners, 29 wins overall with 21 individual winners and most of our owners finding themselves in the winner’s circle at least once.

CLARENDON HOUSE started the year well winning the Listed Hever Sprint Stakes at Southwell in fine fashion, following up with a third place in the Palace House at Newmarket. RHYTHM N HOOVES and ZIGGY’S MISSILE got top marks for consistency with 3 wins each. We also had lots to cheer about with our 2 year olds LONDON IS BLUE, CONTROL ROOM and ATTICUM all winning in their debut season.

We did welcome some lovely new owners and some exciting horses and we look forward to seeing how the next year unfolds for them.

What is to come for 2026?

The class of 2026 is constantly growing, it consists of a handful of speedily bred two-year-olds which we are breaking in ourselves this year and who are all doing very well so far. We have a number of three-year-olds that showed a fair bit of promise as 2 year olds and are growing and filling out over the winter months and of course not forgetting about our much loved group of reliable older horses.

We have started the year very optimistically winning some big money handicaps – the Middleham Park Racing syndicate FAHRENHEIT SEVEN and LEXINGTON BLITZ leading the charge. Two very exciting horses to watch for the season ahead.

We continue to be, always, an ‘open house’, with our owners who are welcome to visit their horses at any time, watching them on the gallops, looking around our yards, stud and facilities.

Robert Cowell Racing is based at Bottisham Heath Stud, situated just five miles outside of Newmarket. A family owned stud set within 180 acres of post and rail paddocks, with its own private poly track gallop, tranquil walk ways and stabling for 75 horses.

Also including starting gates, several Claydon horse walkers, and a large office with owner facilities. It is a beautiful, peaceful and safe environment for horses to be trained in, with the added bonus of ‘time out’ in the paddocks for horses to unwind and relax when needed.

As well as this unique setting, we have easy, quick access to the vast array of gallops in Newmarket, the headquarters of horseracing. We truly believe we have the best of both worlds here at Robert Cowell Racing.

We pride ourselves on being an open yard, welcoming owners at any time, with regular updates on training, races and post-race comments.
