Robert Cowell Racing News

Yarmouth and Chelmsford

Miss Gradenko makes her career debut this afternoon at Yarmouth in the 2.50 pm EBF Fillies Novice Stakes over 6 furlongs.  We will all be thrilled to see her make her first venture out onto the racecourse for that first bit of valuable experience.  She is a home bred and half sister to May Girl who was placed in the Flying Childers last year before being sold for 140,000 guineas at last years December Mares sale.  She comes from a very speedy pedigree and we will all be extremely interested to see how she goes.  Good luck to Sylvestre De Sousa who rides in the colours of Chelsea Thoroughbreds.

Onto this evenings meeting at Chelmsford where we have two runners.  Tomshalfbrother is off first in the 5.45 pm Nursery Handicap over 5 furlongs. This will be his debut on the all weather and his first run in handicap company. He put in a great effort two starts ago at Windsor so we know he has it in him, lets hope he keeps focused today. Eoin Walsh is back onboard for Mr Jeff Sargeant.  Dollar Value heads to post at 6.45 pm in the 51-65 Handicap over 6 furlongs.  He too enjoyed an impressive placing two starts ago on the all weather at Wolverhampton, maybe this is the ground type he prefers so fingers crossed for him today.  Eoin Walsh rides him also in the colours of Mr Khalifa Dasmal.
