Weekend Runners . . .
We have several runners this weekend. Copper Cavalier kicks us off this evening in the 7.30pm, 7f, three year old only handicap. He ran a decent race last time out when stepped up to a mile, in what was a very slowly run race. He is learning all the time and hopefully this 7f trip will suit this evening. He will have Adam Beschizza in the saddle, in the Purple and Yellow colours of Mr J Partridge, Mrs D Rix and partners . . .
Tomorrow we have two runners in the 3.25pm, 81-95 Handicap sprint at Wolverhampton. Silken Express and Jiroft will be going head to head once again. Silken Express is in super form, having won the class 2 sprint at Southwell last week. This will only be her second start at Wolverhampton, her last start there being in 2012! . . . She will have Shane Kelly on board for Malih Al Basti . . . Jiroft will be making his Wolverhampton debut, having only had three starts on the all-weather in the UK. He will sport a pair of cheek pieces and have P J Mcdonald taking the reins for Mr T W Morley and Speedlic Racing . . .
