UK and Dubai racing today….
NORMAL EQUILIBRIUM makes his first start of the New Year this afternoon at Lingfield Park in the 2.50pm Handicap Stakes race. His handicap mark is looking better so lets see how he he fares today in a relatively small field. Pat Cosgrove rides for The Morley Family.
QUITE SMART is our other UK runner today, she is travelling the short distance down the road to Chelmsford City where she lines up in the Fillies Handicap race at 7.10pm. We have added a visor for the first time so lets see if this helps her to concentrate when it matters. Graham Lee takes the ride for Mr Abdullah Al Mansoori.
GREEN DOOR and SPEEDHAWK line up together this afternoon for the opening race on the turf at Meydan at 8.10pm local time or 4.10pm UK time in the Longines Dolce Vita Handicap race over 5 furlongs. Both horses have settled in well and look to be in great shape. GREEN DOOR has not raced since September where he easily beat off his rivals to claim victory at Beverley. Jamie Spencer rides for Ms Fitri Hay. SPEEDHAWK has been remarkably consistent all season long but just cannot seem to get his nose in front when it matters, he certainly has the ability to win off his current mark.
