Todays runners and riders….
To Yarmouth first where we have adversaries EDITH WESTON and CHANDRESH go up against each other again, they are off in the 3.15 pm Handicap Race over the minimum distance, both fillies have been busy on the all weather over the winter months, they have had a couple of months off and are now fresh and ready to get back to turf action. CHANDRESH is back in blinkers, she runs in the colours of breeder and owner Manor Farm Stud with Tom Marquand in the saddle. Ted Durcan gets the leg up onto EDITH WESTON for Miss Sheila Hoare.
Onto Brighton where CAPTAIN BOB takes on the challengers in the last race on the card, the 7.55 pm 6 furlong Handicap, he has not had a try on this course as yet so we are hoping it meets to his approval tonight, he has been placed on his last three attempts on the all weather tracks of Southwell and Wolverhampton and we will keep our fingers firmly crossed that tonight is the night for a well earned win! Later on this afternoon our last two runners will head off to Wolverhampton for the evening meeting. CAPOLAVORO is our first runner to go, he goes off in the 8.40 pm 7 furlong Handicap, he is a super hard working horse and enjoyed a great year last year, he enjoyed a win on New Years Eve on same course and trip, fingers crossed he repeats this performance today. Luke Morris rides in the brown and green stripes of Mr Cyril Humphris. In the last race at 9.10 pm the 3 year olds only 5 furlong Handicap we have GNAAD who has had a super all weather season, which includes 2 victories at Southwell. Lets see if Wolverhampton is to his liking tonight. Luke Morris gets this ride too for Mr Ahmed Jaber.
