Thursday Runners . . .
We have three runners today – Two in Dubai and one domestically in the UK . . . SPEED HAWK races for the second time at Meydan in the 6.45pm (2.45pm – UK), 6f Handicap on the dirt. His pedigree, being American bred suggests he will like the Dirt, however of course this is a little unknown to us. He has proved himself so far over 5f, but the step up to 6f may just be a step to far at this stage – Fingers crossed both trip and conditions do suit today. He will have Pat Dobbs back on board for Khalifa Dasmal . . . PRINCE ALZAIN will then also race at Meydan, making his début in the 9.05pm (5.05pm – UK), 1m Handicap on the Dirt. Again he is also American bred and of course his breeding suggest he will handle this surface. This is his first race at the 2015 Carnival. He will have James Doyle in charge for Mr Al Banwan . . . Here at home ROYAL ACQUISITION heads the very short distance to the newly named, Chelmsford City racetrack. He will race in the 6.10pm, over 5f with Jim Crowley. Yarmy, the stalls handler has been employed to assist with putting him in the stalls . . . Fingers Crossed all run well today . . .
