Robert Cowell Racing News

Three wins….

First off on Friday we were super pleased to see Society Star break her maiden in style in the 5 furlong Novice at Thirsk in poor weather conditions. She was given a great front running ride by Cam Hardie and the race never looked in doubt. A big well done to Will Prosser.

Onto Sunday where Grandfather Tom and apprentice Angus Villiers made all in the 5 furlong Handicap at Windsor, they got a great start, stayed strong and finished in command.  Angus is very dear to us here as he spent every spare bit of time he had riding out from the age of 14, we knew pretty much as soon as he started that he had something special.  Well done to winning owner Jeff Sargeant.

Then last night at Windsor, Bhangra romped home in the 5 furlong Novice Stakes under a commanding ride by Oisin Murphy, despite a long time off the tracks and not quite up to full fitness she certainly looked pretty amazing…. Super pleased for owner and breeder Manor Farm Stud.

And of course a big well done to all our hard working team…..
