The Coolmore Nunthorpe Stakes . . .
This morning we have declared all three of our entries to run in the well known Group 1, 5f sprint for two-year-olds and upwards, The Coolmore Nunthorpe Stakes on Friday 24th August at York’s famous Ebor meeting.
Kingsagate Native, owned by Cheveley Park Stud has been declared with Tom Queally on board.
Spirit Quartz, owned by Qatar Racing Limited has been declared with his usual Jockey, Frankie Dettori.
Monsieur Joe, owned by Mrs Helen Checkley has also been declared with Richard Mullen in the saddle.
We are delighted to be represented by three horses in such a prestigious Group1 sprint race. All three horses are looking in fantastic condition. Monsieur Joe won at Deauville at the beginning of the month in the Listed sprint on 3rd August. Spirit Quartz is a model of consistency, having picked up prize money on all of his starts for us since he joined us at the beginning of the year from Italy. This will be Kingsgate Native’s first run since the 3rd September 2011. He joined us in June and has since been taking everything in his stride.
