Speed Hawk Hits The Target . . .
We were thrilled to see SPEED HAWK win at Bath for his owner, Mr Khalifa Dasmal yesterday afternoon in the class 3, 5.5f three-year-old only handicap . . . He has run some fantastic races so far this season without scoring, in particlar on his seaonal debut at York when a cloase second to G Force and at Newmarket when runner up to another high class, improving performer in Extortionist. We took him to Ascot last weekend for the 100k, 5f three year old and upwards handicap, where the race wasn’t really run to suit his style but he did finished 7th. We had him entered for this race at Bath and felt it was an opportunity too good to miss. Considering he raced only three days prior, he travelled beautifully throughout and George Baker gave him a spot on ride to keep his head in front the whole way . . . This big bay colt by Henny Hughes is one to certainly look forward to as he matures and continues to develop . . .
