Six declared for the weekend…
Friday…
First to Sandown Park with Jumira Bridge and Leo Minor both horses head to post together for the 1.50 pm 76-95 Handicap over 5 furlongs. Leo Minor ran well last time out at Newmarket and we felt should have done better, he looks to be back on a good mark so we are hopeful he should do well today, he is partnered with Jason Watson. Jumira Bridge won on same course and distance 2 years ago, lets hope he can get back to winning ways again today with Kerrin McEvoy onboard. Good luck to Mrs Morley and Tom Morley today.
Then to Chelmsford for racing this evening. Brigadier takes on only four others in the 7.05 pm 56-75 Handicap over 7 furlongs, his last few starts have been over 5 furlongs so lets see how he performs over the extra distance. Good luck to Kieran O’Neill who rides in the colours of our yard sponsor Mr Malih Al Basti.
Saturday….
Back to Sandown Park with Pocket Dynamo who will head to post at 1.50 pm in the Group 3 Coral Charge over the minimum distance. He has slightly lost his way of late but this lovely horse has a great engine and a big heart and will always try his best. Andrea Atzeni gets the leg up in the colours of Phoenix Thoroughbred Ltd.
Our last runners of the weekend will leave for Nottingham at lunchtime ready for the evening meeting. 2 year old Hyba makes her career start in the 6.10 pm Fillies only Novice Stakes, she certainly seems to be ready for that all important race course experience and this seems the perfect race with only four other competitors. Fingers crossed for Luke Morris who takes the reins for Mr Malih Al Basti. Onto the 8.10 pm Classified Stakes over 1 mile 2 furlongs goes the gorgeous Fly Lightly who seems to be getting better with every run. Luke Morris gets this ride also for Mr Nasser Al Habtoor.
