Saturdays news…

Three make the short journey to Chelmsford ahead of an afternoon of racing.  First off are Grandfather Tom and Green Fortune they go down together for the 2.40 pm 76-95 Handicap over 5 furlongs.  Grandfather Tom is definitely showing signs of being back on form since being gelded, he does love the all weather tracks and we are hopeful he will be there or thereabouts.  Franny Norton takes the reins for Mr Jeff Sargeant.  Green Fortune makes his second start for the yard, he has a good history as a 2 year old on the all weather. We have added cheekpieces to him, lets see if these assist him.  Tom Queally rides in the dark green silks of Mr Saleh Al Homaizi & Imad Al Sagar.  In the 4.55 pm 46-60 Handicap Stakes over a mile runs Master Poet he attempts handicap company for the first time and has been upped in trip from 6 furlongs.  He knows his job now so lets see how he gets on.  Tom Queally rides for the Heart of the South syndicate.

Onto Nottingham where Jewel Of The Sea takes on the competition in the 6.10 pm Fillies only Novice Stakes over the minimum distance.  This will be only her second start and she will no doubt pick up a bit more experience for the outing.  Good luck to Luke Morris and the GB Horseracing team.
