Runners Today . . .

We have six runners today across the country . . .

COMEDY NIGHT and CARDINAL travel to Brighton together . . . COMEDY NIGHT, a Royal Applause two-year-old makes his career début today in the 2.00pm, over 5 furlongs . . . He is a half brother to NORMAL EQUILIBRIUM who of course we have in training and who also runs today at Chester . . . This colt will learn a huge amount for todays experience, however he has been uncomplicated here at home to train and we look forward to seeing him in action . . . CARDINAL is making his long awaited return to the turf.  He is a horse that needs and loves soft ground.  He may or may not get his ideal ground today, however this is a track he has enjoyed in the past and so fingers crossed for the 5.15pm this evening . . .

DUKE OF FIRENZE and NORMAL EQUILIBRIUM make the trip to Chester together today . . . Both run in the 4.55pm, 5 furlongs Conditions Stakes . . . DUKE OF FIRENZE has been ready and waiting for the right ground for some time now.  He just about gets it today, however he is not so fortunate on the draw this afternoon . . . NORMAL EQUILIBRIUM of course is in great form so far this season and he gets a plum draw today in stall number one round this tight track . . .

STUNNED and ROYAL ACQUISITION make the short trip together to Chelmsford City . . . STUNNED made his début for us at this track a few weeks ago and won cosily, however it was a rather poor Maiden compared to his official rating.   He will now need to prove himself in handicap company, with the small added advantage of a little bit of experience in hand at this tricky track.  He races in the 6.15pm . . . ROYAL ACQUISITION waits for the last race of the night at 9.15pm.  He will again have Gary Witheford handle him in the stalls.  If he can get away smartly, from this good drawn, fingers crossed he can run well again.  He too has valuable experience on the track . . .
