RCR Update . . . 8th Week
As we commence the eighth week of lock-down, but start to see glimmers of light at the end of the tunnel and head ever closer towards the resumption of racing in some format. We have to feel lucky that by and large we have been able to continue training and preparing for the season ahead what ever shape that may be in this year. We took all the government advise, along with our industry leaders, the BHA and NTF, following all the guidance on what we could and could not do. Implementing what ever it took to keep our team and our business well looked after, to come out of this in a strong position.
Communication remains high between us and all our owners. Regular updates by-email, telephone and training videos are enjoyed by all.
The weather has been very kind to us this spring, and touch wood our wonderful hard working team have kept safe, well and energised for getting back racing.
The string are pretty much all ready and raring to go back to the races as soon as we can. This week we should hear a little more guidance as to when and how racing will resume. The most important thing in this is to keep everyone protected from this dreadful virus until it is eradicated.
The moment racing is given the go ahead, no doubt behind closed door for a period of time, we will act and get involved. Our staff will be prepared on the strict protocol that no doubt will be in place to allow us to travel to the racecourses.
Whenever this may be our horses will be ready to go in to battle once again . . .
