One today….and a busy weekend
2 year old filly SOUTHERN BELLE makes her third start for us this afternoon at Sandown Park in the Maiden Stakes at 1.45pm. She was found to be a bit under the weather after her last start at Lingfield Park as it transpired after the event. But if she runs as well as she did on her debut at Sandown back in July she should see herself run into a place. Ted Durcan takes the ride for Mr Ahmed Jaber.
A busy weekend ahead with racing in the UK, Ireland and France……
Two runners will be making their way across the Irish Sea to the Curragh on Friday evening to settle in ahead of their race on Sunday. 4 year old HOT STREAK owned by Qatar Racing makes his debut for our yard and French bred 5 year old IFFRANESIA owned by Mr Cyril Humphris are both entered into the Flying Five Stakes Group 2 race at 3.05pm. Rain is forecast so fingers crossed the ground conditions will become perfect for these two.
GOLDREAM heads under the English Channel to Paris early hours of Saturday morning to the Hippodrome de Longchamp racecourse. He is entered into the Group 3 Prix du Petit Couvert at 2pm local time. Martin Harley gets the leg up for Mr Jeff Sargeant and Mrs J Morley. We were delighted with how he ran last time out in the Nunthorpe at York despite the ground conditions being on the soft side. Having weighed up both options of the Curragh and Longchamp for him we have decided that the weather and ground conditions should be more favourable for him in France.
SECRETINTHEPARK is our only runner on Saturday he travels to Doncaster ahead of the Portland Handicap Stakes at 2.35pm. Martin Harley takes the ride again for Mia Racing.
GRAND BEAUTY is our only runner in England on Sunday, she is off to Bath for the Handicap Stakes race at 2.25pm. She made the winners circle last week at Newcastle so lets hope she can make it two on the bounce. Tom Marquand takes the ride for Mr Jaber Abdullah.
