News From Bottisham Heath Stud . . .
We have had a pretty quiet weekend in regards to runners on the racetracks . . . As we approach March, we have one more month left of the All Weather season before the turf racing commences once again, which we are all eagerly anticipating . . .
All the horses are now in to full work, getting all the ground work in before the faster stuff begins. We have 50 currently stabled, with more due to arrive . . . Once again it is time to have some further stables put up and add to the yard, which is fantastic . . . We brought in from our paddocks last week four more two-year-old’s; All beautifully bred and all owned by Mr Asaad Al Banwan . . . We will then have several more to arrive in the next few weeks and a couple more to come in from the paddocks who are having a little longer out there to mature before their careers start . . . It is very exciting to have our largest number of two-year-old in training this year. We certainly look to have a few early types on our hands and of course ones who will benefit from a little more time . . . It is intriguing to see how they will all develop . . .
It is a wonderful time of year with Spring in the air and the mares due to foal any day . . . It is very special to see the foals on the stud – Racehorses for the future . . . More news to follow on those once they arrive!! . . .
