Maglietta Fina Wins Well At Bath . . .

We were delighted to see Maglietta Fina win nicely under Pat Dobbs in the last at Bath on Saturday.  She is a lovely, racy filly owned by Scuderia Archi Romani, who sent her to us from Italy at the beginning of the summer.  We had planned this race for her after she ran in the Greys only race at Newmarket in  August.  We had our fingers crossed the rain came as she does need a bit of cut in the ground.  Lucky enough it rained plenty over night on  Friday, however it was a dry day on Saturday and Bath does dry out quite quickly.  It held out at Good and it suited her perfectly.

Today we have Cardinal racing in the 4.20pm at Brighton, with Steve Drowne on board once again for Mrs J May.  He is another horse that loves some give in the ground.  Brighton is currently Good to Soft, Soft in places.  He has never experienced the unique conditions at Brighton.  However he does not seem to mind some undulations and we hope it will not inconvenience him today.

We then have Grande Mago in the 5.00pm at Wolverhampton for Scuderia Archi Romani.  He has Liam Keniry on board today.  This is his second racecourse experience.  He went to York in June, since then he has been gelded and we hope he puts in a decent performance for his connections this evening . . .
