Iffranesia Strikes Gold on Début . . .
IFFRANESIA showed further improvement yesterday to win the 3.00pm at Lingfield Park in great fashion . . . Having had a seven month absence from the racetrack since her last race at the beginning of October she has come back to the track with a real bang . . . She had a successful season in 2014, winning five times! However since her last race she had a fantastic winters holiday out in our paddocks with a group of companions. She came in early this year and has been very well at home building up to yesterdays seasonal début race . . . We knew she was in good heart going in to the race and she looked a picture. Our only concern yesterday was the going. It had quickened up a bit more than we would have liked, having seen her act so well on Soft going last year. However she needed to get her season going at some point and evidently she seemed to handle it on this fair turf track . . . Onwards and upwards, as we now look forward to the rest of the season with her – It would be wonderful to get some black type to her name for her owner and breeder Mr Cyril Humphris . . .
We have two runners today . . . DECISIVE and CARDINAL at Nottingham . . .
DECISIVE makes her second appearance in the 2.25pm . . . She ran with credit at Wolverhampton just under two weeks ago. She will have learnt a huge amount from that first experience. This is of course is on turf today and the conditions are going to be quite testing. However she is in good form with herself at home and again we will learn further as to how she handles everything today . . .
CARDINAL makes his turf seasonal début today in the 3.00pm . . . He has been ready and raring to go for some time now and sadly he made the trip to Brighton this week when racing was abandoned due to high winds . . . He gets back on the road again today and should enjoy the Soft going he will find there this afternoon . . .
