GOODWOOD runners Friday and Saturday….

GOLDREAM gets his eagerly awaited UK start this afternoon in the 3.45 pm Qatar King George Stakes at Glorious Goodwood.  It has been a disappointing start to the year after missing out on the Temple Stakes at Haydock and the Kings Stand at Ascot when the ground conditions became unfavorable for him.  So all focus has been to get him in shape for today – he is looking amazing, working well here at home and his usual jockey Martin Harley says he is at his best.  Lets hope he handles the track today and he puts in his best for owners Mr Jeff Sargeant and the Morley family who will be watching and hoping.  SPIRIT QUARTZ also runs drawn across the other side of the track so we have all angles covered.  We know he has form on this track and will we have no doubt handle it well. Adam Kirby gets the ride for Ecurie La Boetie.   The race will be fast and furious and very competitive we will have everything crossed for both horses.

Onto Goodwood on Saturday where we have SIR ROBERT CHEVAL and TOOFI entered into the richest handicap in Europe the Qatar Stewards cup over 6 furlongs.  TOOFI is in great form, this has been his target race after running well in the Wokingham at Ascot last month.  He likes the track at Goodwood and has a proven record on it.  Adam Kirby gets the leg up for Saleh Al Homaizi & Imad Al Sagar.  SIR ROBERT CHEVAL is also showing great form at home, he was a bit unlucky on his last start at Newcastle after missing the break.  Lets hope he gets this right this time in this huge field.  Louis Steward rides in the silks of the Heart of the South racing team.

Other runners on Saturday are CHANDRESH and STRATH BURN who head to Doncaster.   CHANDRESH goes first at 1.45 pm in the Handicap Stakes, her form is out there for all to see, but she is in great condition and its time she had a win!  Oisin Murphy rides for Manor Farm Stud.  STRATH BURN makes his yard debut for us in the Conditions Stakes at 4.40 pm, he has proven record on this track so fingers crossed he can make his first start a good one.  Oisin rides him too for Qatar Racing and Mr R A Bartlett.

Lastly to Newmarket where EJBAAR runs in the last race on the card the 6 furlong Handicap Stakes at 5.45 pm.  He is looking in super shape and working hard at home and he too should be there or thereabouts today.  Richard Kingscote rides for Mr Malih Al Basti.
