Goldream In Group 1 Action Today . . .
We have GOLDREAM back in action following his Group 1 victory at Royal Ascot in June. . . He has had a wonderful bit of time out from racing awaiting this Coolmoore Group 1 Nunthorpe Stakes at York today over the minimum distance . . . When you are victorious in a Group 1, it does mean unless you continue the season at Group 1 level, you do have to carry a weight penalty in any lesser race – Hence we have waiting for this race today – Very sadly the English summer weather has not gone to plan or been kind to us today and it is officially Good to Soft – GOLDREAM really does prefer quicker ground, ideally Good to Firm going . . . However these types of race are few and far between and he will take his chance at 3.40pm . . .
