Early Closing Entry . . .
This morning we have made an early closing entry for Lui Rei in The William Hill Ayr Gold Cup. This well known Heritage Handicap is on the 22nd September and is run over 6f, with a couple of ‘consolation’ races following it on the race card.
Lui Rei has an entry this weekend at Newmarket’s July course in the 6f Listed race, The Hopeful Stakes. Richard Mullen has been booked to take the ride.
Since Lui Rei was gelding over the winter he has had a solid, and fun 2012 campaign, winning a couple of nice handicaps and running a gallant race in The Stewards Cup at Goodwood this month. Now rated 103, he deserves his chance in a Listed event . . .
