A Dozen Runners . . .
We have twelve runners all around the country Friday, Saturday and Sunday . . .
Today we have five. CAPOLAVORO kicks us off in the 2.10pm at Wolverhampton. He has been off the track some time, having arrived with us from France during the winter. He is looking well here at home, this is a great starting point for him . . . CHANDRESH makes her seasonal debut in the 5.05pm at Goodwood. Having had a winter holiday at home on her owner/breeders stud farm, she looks well and gets her season started today . . . ENCORE D’OR and KINGSGATE NATIVE line up together for The Achilles Stakes at Haydock Park this evening at 7.30pm. This is the Listed event that KINGSGATE NATIVE won last season. Sadly the race has been moved forward a few weeks from its usual spot in the calendar, we therefore had to make a couple of tough decisions as to where to race some of our sprinters – The choice was between this Listed race tonight or The Temple Stakes tomorrow. KINGSGATE NATIVE loves this track, so hopefully he can put in a spirited performance at the grand old age of eleven. ENCORE D’OR is currently on a upward curve, having made two starts this season, with two wins under his belt. Tonight will answer a lot of questions we have for the route we plan for him this year, with next season in the back of our minds . . . Finally DESERT COMMAND will race in the 7.40pm at Catterick Bridge. We would be delighted if he could close our race day with a win. He is very capable, fingers crossed he can put his best foot forward tonight . . .
Saturday we have five runners also. BAHAMIAN HEIGHTS and SIR ROBERT CHEVEL both make there seasonal debut at Newmarket in the 2.55pm. Both are in fine form at home and this is a perfect starting points to their 2016 campaigns, being a track just five miles up the road from us it could not be more ideal. NORMAL EQUILIBRIUM heads solo up to York for the 3.50pm. Having won already this season, this is a super race to target with very good prize money. Fingers crossed he gets some luck in running in a relatively big field . . . Finally, we are very excited to have GOLDREAM and JUSTINEO in action in The Temple Stakes at 4.10pm, the Group 2 over 5 furlongs at Haydock Park. GOLDREAM is very well having not had a great time of things in Dubai at the Carnival and Dubai World Cup. However he is looking well at home and back to his normal self. He races with a penalty tomorrow, for his Group 1 wins last season . Of course, following this race all being well The Kings Stand Stakes at Royal Ascot will be his next port of call. JUSTINEO ran a very good race first time out for us in a big, competitive field in the Palace House Stakes at Newmarket a few weeks ago. He looks super at home and will be there to take his chance – Fingers crossed not too much rain arrives over night Friday in to Saturday as predicted . . .
Sunday we have two runners. PRINCE OF LIR makes his career debut at Nottingham in the 2.20pm. He is a very new addition to our string, having been purchased at the Doncaster Breeze Up sale only a few weeks ago. He has settled in to our training routine quickly and easily, we could not be more delighted with him . . . KIRINGA will then race in the 4.00pm, at the same track, having put in an excellent performance at Redcar on Monday in a large field. Again, fingers cross not too much rain arrives this weekend, as she would like it to be quicker rather than softer . . .
Plenty to watch and cheer home over the next three days . . .
