Day 3 of Royal Ascot….

Our Royal Ascot week starts today as we send two runners to post in the first race of the day, the 2 year old 5 furlong Norfolk Stakes at 2.30 pm. The sun has finally come out and it certainly looks like it is going to stay dry so fingers crossed the ground will get a little quicker.

Cool Sphere has only the one run under his belt but he looked impressive on debut at Leicester narrowly beaten by another Cool Silk owned 2 year old Majestic Sands who ran in the Coventry Stakes yesterday. He is definitely an eye catching individual and we look forward to seeing him out on this big stage.  James McDonald gets the leg up for all connections of the Cool Silk Partnership who won this race 2 years ago with the fantastic Prince of Lir who currently stands at Ballyhane stud in Ireland.

Strive For Glory owned by Tom Morley is our other exciting runner, bought last year by Robert in Keeneland for $80,000. He won on debut at Newcastle and came third in Listed company at Newbury on his second tine of asking.  He too is a lovely young horse with an exciting career ahead of him and is ably partnered today with Richard Kingscote.  Tom just lost out on success in this race with Pocket Dynamo last year when he was beaten by a nose.  Maybe he will be luckier today?  Mrs Morley will be there with Robert to cheer him on and she is no stranger to Royal Ascot success herself having won the Kings Stand in 2011 with Prohibit and in 2015 with the fabulous Goldream.
