Chantilly and The Curragh…..
We were delighted to see our travelling horses run well over the weekend. All in all there were two successful trips. Firstly we saw GOLDREAM take third place in the Qatar Prix du Petit Couvert at Chantilly. Regular jockey Martin Harley gave him a good ride but on the day it just was not enough we would assume the shower or two they had earlier in the day was the main issue. Well done to owners Mr Jeff Sargeant and the Morley family. Onto The Curragh where SPIRIT QUARTZ and IFFRANESIA went off together in the 5 furlong Flying Five Stakes Handicap. Both horses ran well but IFFRANESIA ran her socks off to finish third. Jim Crowley gave her a great ride and we are extremely pleased for owner Mr Cyril Humphris. The horses travelled home overnight and arrived safe and well back here at the stud this morning where they have enjoyed the sun on their backs in the paddocks today.
