A busy weekend ahead….
JUST US TWO left the yard at 9 am to make his way up to Newcastle ahead of the evening meeting. He’s off at 8.20 pm in the Handicap Stakes over 5 furlongs. He is a lovely hard working horse and we would love to see him back in the winners circle again tonight. James Doyle rides for Mr Abdulla Al Mansoori.
GOLDREAM heads off to Chantilly tomorrow morning in readiness for the Prix De L’Abbaye De Longchamp Group 1 race at 5.35 pm on Sunday afternoon. He has not had the best of luck with ground conditions this year so we are hoping that it all stays dry in France and he gets the ground he deserves. He ran really well in the Prix Petit Couvert in Chantilly last month despite a rain shower at the last minute. Martin Harley rides him again for Jeff Sargeant and the Morley family. Everything is crossed for this fine fellow.
Saturday runners are all over the country. Firstly to Ascot. OUTBACK TRAVELLER and STRATHBURN go off together in the Bengough Stakes at 3.05 pm. OUTBACK TRAVELLER cruised to victory in the Wokingham on same course and distance back in June, since then he has had a small break but he is ready and raring to get back into the action on a course that he seems to enjoy. STRATHBURN too will give a good account of himself today, the rain that is forecast should not bother either of these two so lets see how they fair tomorrow. Martin Harley gets the leg up on OUTBACK TRAVELLER for Lordship Stud and the Morley family and OISIN MURPHY rides STRATHBURN for Qatar Racing and Mr Bartlett. Lastly at Ascot we have chestnut mare IFFRANESIA who goes in the Listed Rous stakes at 4.15 pm – she always tries her best and ran a really good race in the Flying Five Stakes at the Curragh last month. Graham Gibbons rides her again for Mr Cyril Humphris.
Onto Newmarket where VISIONARY runs in the 4.35 pm Tattersalls October Auction Stakes over 6 furlongs. He has made a super start to his career so we are all hoping this continues. It is a big field and hugely competitive so lets hope he gets himself into the action early on. Adam Beschizza rides for Mr Khalifa Dasmal.
Finally our last runner is at Redcar. KIRINGA goes at 5.35 pm in the 5 furlong Handicap Stakes. We were delighted to see her get her first win last time out at Wolverhampton it would be great if she could put in the same performance again. Kieran O Neill takes to the reins again for Manor Farm Stud.
