Busy Week Ahead . . .
We have a rather busy week coming up with sending out runners all week around the country, plenty of our owners popping by to see us as the July Festival takes place this week on the July racecourse here in Newmarket, and which also coincides with Tattersalls July sale – Year on year this sale has got bigger and better . . .This year is no exception with nearly 800 lots to sell, a mixture of Mares in foal, and horses in training . . . We have five due to sell on Friday, 10th July and we very much hope to bring in a few new recruits along the way, which is always exciting . . .
Plenty of news to talk of from our runners at the weekend . . .
Sandown Park was frustrating for both our horses on Coral Eclipse day – USE YOUR FILBERT broke slowly from the gates and got a huge bump as he did come out. He then found himself stuck on the rail in a tight pocket, of which there was no way out and nowhere for him to go and stretch out in his usual manner. We are in no doubt he would have been there or there abouts had he broken smartly and got him self a front running position. He will find away soon to make amends on that we are sure . . . KINGSGATE NATIVE ran a solid race, even though he did find a flat spot 2 furlongs out, however he managed to rally again and ran on strongly to the line. He is in great form with himself and we are sure he will have another day like he did at Haydock Park a few weeks ago . . .
RAHMAH ran well on Soft ground at Haydock Park, he is a game and gutsy horse who has a big heart and is sure to win races around about this mark throughout his career. He heads to Tattersalls July sale at the end of this week . . .
MOST TEMPTING gave a hearty performance at Leicester. . . She had to come around the field a little to get some space to run at, however a little too late and she finished a respectable third . . .
JUMERIAH STAR reared as the gates opened and found herself 5 length behind. This is always hard to give away a start, however she ran well as she has done in all her starts to date and we are sure she will get at least a furlong further as the season goes on. We will look at all her options now that she can also contest Nursery handicaps from here on in . . .
Finally GRAND BEAUTY also ran a decent race having had a year off the race track, she also did all the leg work in the race and the finish up hill at Beverley just proved a little too testing on that occasion. She is one we are sure will correct this in the not too distant future – We do look forward to her next outing.
All returned home safe and sound on Saturday night. They have all had mornings since out in the paddocks on the stud to unwind from the race and travelling – Now the work begins again to look for suitable next opening for them all . . .
