ASCOT and HAYDOCK PARK…
Two travel to Haydock Park this afternoon. First to go is KASBAH in the 4 pm Handicap Stakes race over the minimum distance. He is making his first start for our yard since joining us recently from Ireland. He has not had a run since June, he looks to be fit and well and will do well for the run. Andrea Atzeni rides in the green silks of Saleh Al Homaizi & Imad Al Sagar. Next at Haydock is STRATHBURN who takes part in the Group 1 Haydock Park Sprint Cup, he has run well for us on his last two starts coming third both times, last time losing to stable mate KINGSGATE NATIVE. He should put in a good account today but it is a hugely competitive field. Oisin Murphy gets the leg up for Qatar Racing and Ronnie Bartlett.
Down south to Ascot, we have three runners on the card. TOOFI and SIR ROBERT CHEVAL go off first at 4.10 pm in this ultra competitive Handicap Stakes over 6 furlongs. Louis Steward rides SIR ROBERT CHEVAL for the third time lets see if they can get into the thick of the action today and bring home a bit of luck for the Heart of the South racing team. TOOFI is ridden by Adam Kirby for Saleh Al Homaizi & Imad Al Sagar, we have added a visor for the first time so lets see if this helps his cause today and he too can get to the front when it matters. Last runner of the day is JUST US TWO in the 5.20 pm Handicap Stakes over 5 furlongs. He is a lovely horse who always tries his hardest, he should put his best foot forward today.
