A Successful Guineas Weekend . .

We were thrilled with the results we had at Newmarket on Guineas weekend . . .

KINGSGATE NATIVE put in a fantastic performance on his first start of the season on Saturday at Newmarket in the Group 3, Palace House Stakes.  He flew home to be second to Sole Power.  He was second in this race last year and will once again now head to Haydock Park on 24th May for the Group 2, Temple Stakes over 5f.  He is a wonderful horse to have in training, at the ripe old age of nine-years-old he looks in magnificent condition and he is mentally up for all the challenges that we put to him.  He is a real stable favourite amongst us all!! . . . We were thrilled for Cheveley Park Stud and we now look forward to Haydock in a couple of weeks . . .

GOLDREAM struck gold on Sunday at Newmarket in the 3.10pm, Tweenhills class 2 Handicap sprint . . . It was typically a big field for a Heritage Handicap;  he was draw in the middle and race predominately just behind the front pace down the centre of the track.  He took off half way, edging himself to the rail and stormed home to win . . .  His owners, Mr J Sargeant and Mrs J Morley, and all connected were absolutely over the moon and we could not be more happy for them to have a big winner at Newmarket and on Guineas weekend . . . He will now head to York in a fortnight . . .

Today we have one runner, THUMPER makes his career début for Qatar Racing Limited at Bath.  He is our first two-year-old runner of 2014 . . . He is showing us he is capable at home, but whether or not he needs this race will remain to be seen.  He is French bred and so will likely head back across the Channel to pick up a race or two there during the season . . . We very much look forward to seeing him in action at 1.30pm today . . .
