Robert Cowell Racing News

A busy Tuesday

Six horses head Northbound for racing at three different racecourses today.

First off in the 1.30 pm EBF Novice Stakes over 5 furlongs at Catterick Bridge runs Finch Hatton an extremely promising 2 year old who has shown good speed and ability in his previous two starts.  He should do well again today.  Luke Morris is onboard for Mrs Fitri Hay.  Reeves heads to post next at 2.35 pm in the 7 furlong Nursery Handicap he to is owned by Mrs Fitri Hay he came second last time out at Pontefract  so lets hope he can go one better today.  Good luck to Ben Curtis.

Moving on to Leicester where Encor D’Or and Blue De Vega take on the rest of the field at 3.20 pm in the 93-110 5 furlong Handicap.  Both horses have had a good year and been running well of late – it remains to be seen who will come out on top.  Oisin Murphy rides in the silks of Qatar racing and Jim Crowley rides for Mrs Morley, Glen Johnson and Newsells Park Stud.

The last two runners left really early this morning to head to Newcastle for this evenings meeting.  Justice Lady goes first in the 7.15 pm 66-80 Handicap Stakes, this mare has not quite found her form as yet and we hope today this may change she is on a good mark and Gerald Mosse will give her a good strong ride for Mr Robert Ng.  Zamjar is the last of the days runners he heads down to post at 7.45pm in the second division he too is on a favourable mark and should show up well   Ben Curtis gets the leg up for Mrs Morley.
