Robert Cowell Racing News

A busy Saturday….

Our first two runners both owned by Tom Morley head off to Kempton Park and go to post together in the 2.40 pm 86-105 Handicap over 6 furlongs. Haddaf makes his yard debut after being purchased last year at the Tattersalls Horses in Training sales, he has a good record on the all weather but may just need this run out to get back into the swing of things. Raucous has been pretty consistent on the all weather in all his starts without success, lets see if he can go one or two better this time. Good luck to Tom and Charles Bishop on board Haddaf and Richard Kingscote on board Raucous.

Next we head to Southwell for the evening meeting. So Hi Speed and Vikivaki go down together for the 6.30 pm 6 furlong Novice Stakes. So Hi Speed can be a little unsettled and a bit temperamental but if he gets a good start out of the gate he is in with a good shout. Paddy Mathers gets the leg up for Nick Bradley Racing. Vikivaki makes her first start since June last year, she has been showing us some good speed and working nicely here at home so is more than ready to get back in action. She is also owned by Tom Morley and is ably partnered by Luke Morris. Last but not least runs Budaiya Fort in the 6 furlong Handicap at 8pm, dropped back down to 6 furlongs, he is a speedy chap and we are hopeful he should put in a good account of himself. Luke is onboard for all the connections of Almohamediya Racing.
