A Busy Saturday On The Racetracks . . .
We have a rather busy Saturday racing around the country today, with seven declared runners at Sandown Park, Beverley, Haydock Park, Leicester and Nottingham . . .
First up will be our runners at Sandown Park on Coral Eclipse day – USE YOUR FILBERT will line up for the first race on the card at 1.25pm. This is a Class 3, 7 furlong event for this lightly raced, however consistent son of Acclamation. He put in a very gutsy effort at Newmarket last time out, having been restless in the starting gates and cost himself four lengths at the start. He made this up gamely and just missed out on winning by a very narrow margin. If he can break on terms today he would have a fantastic chance. Harry Bentley is back on board for Mr G Johnson . . . KINGSGATE NATIVE will be up next in the 2.00pm, to contest the Group 3, Coral Charge over 5 furlongs . . .At the grand age of ten-year-old he is in super form this season, having won on his last start at Haydock Park in the Listed event there at the end of May . . . He has had a month to enjoy himself here on the stud and freshen up for todays challenge. He has run well in this race in the past and on recent form we have no reason to think he will not give a good account of himself again today. Jim Crowley takes the ride for Cheveley Park Stud . . . Sadly, IFFRANESIA has had to be made a non runner today in this race, as there has just not been enough rain for her over night. She really does need it Good or softer to perform to her best . . . Another good opportunity will surely come around for her in the not to distant future . . .
RAHMAH has travelled up to Haydock Park this morning for the 3.25pm. He ran a cracking race at Bath on his last outing, missing out very narrowly in the closing stages. He looks in super condition and despite the rain Haydock Park have had, he should have no trouble handling these conditions. If he does, we hope to see him go close again today. He will then head to the Tattersalls July sale next week in Newmarket . . . Silvester De Sousa takes the ride again today for Sultan Ali . . .
GRAND BEAUTY make her début for us today up at Beverley in the 5.20pm . . . She is a lightly raced daughter of Kheleyf, previously in training with Richard Fahey and joined us at the end of last year. She had a wonder winters holiday out on our stud, before entering training at the beginning of the season. She has since been working well here at home, showing speed and a good attitude. Of course, this is her seasonal début but she travel up north today with every chance . . . Graham Gibbons will be on board for Jaber Abdullah . . .
MOST TEMPTING makes her turf seasonal début today at Leicester in the 5.35pm . . . She has make good head way on the all-weather tracks this season; breaking her Maiden and running consistently well on all her starts. Providing she handles the track and conditions today we hope to see her run equally as well on the turf today . . . Adam Beschizza partners her again for the Family of Mrs G Leader . . .
JUMERIAH STAR will be our final runner of the day. She is half sister to our classy colt in training – SPEED HAWK . . . She has been rather unlucky on all of her starts to date, whether it be a bad drawn or trouble in running at vital moments. However providing she gets a clear run today she should run well and give another good account of herself with 3lb claimer, Marc Monaghan on board for Mr Khalifa Dasmal . . .
