Robert Cowell Racing News

A busy Saturday…..

As it stands today Saturday sees us head to five tracks with 7 horses…..

Instantly starts the proceedings, he heads to Thirsk and runs at 1.45 pm in the EBF Novice Stakes over the minimum distance.  He put in a great performance at Lingfield last Saturday despite a stumble to finish in second. Cam Hardie rides in the colours of Bottisham Heath Stud lets hope he can go one better today.

Next to the final day of Glorious Goodwood.  Blue De Vega runs at 1.50 pm in the consolation race – the Stewards Sprint Handicap, he has been a little frustrating to say the least even though it would seem he always tries his hardest.  Cieren Fallon rides for Mrs Morley.  Then to the Stewards Cup at 3.40 pm with Raucous owned by Tom Morley, he has been showing us good form, forth in the Wokingham at Royal Ascot and a win at Yarmouth last time out.  Lets hope he gets out well and makes a good impression again tomorrow on the big stage in a big field.  Cieren Fallon gets the leg up again.

Leo Minor and Green Door head to Chelmsford City for a date on the all weather.  Leo Minor at 2.10 pm in the 6 furlong 61-80 Handicap and Green Door at 3.20 pm in the 5 furlong 76-95 Handicap.  Both we hope should be there or thereabouts.  Leo Minor is partnered with Dylan Hogan claiming 5lb in the colours of Tom Morley and Luke Morris gets the leg up for us all here at home.

Then a little closer to home at Newmarket Reeves is declared in the 3.50 pm 7 furlong 71-90 Handicap, he has been pretty consistent but without a win since last October.  We hope this could be the race to get him back to into the winners enclosure.  Good luck to Jimmy Quinn riding in the colours of Mrs Fitri Hay.

Last but not least we head to Doncaster with exciting Good Answer who won nicely at Bath on last time of asking.  He heads to post at 5.45 pm in the 5 furlong 56-75 Handicap.  Lets hope the ground is not too slow for him up there.  Dane O Neill gets the leg up for Mr Malih Al Basti.
