Robert Cowell Racing News

A busy day

Misty Spirit heads down to Sandown Park ready for action at 1.40 pm in the 61-75 handicap over 5 furlongs.  She had a good win at Chelmsford back in July and last won on the grass at Leicester last August.   She heads back to the turf today for the first time since June and fingers crossed the ground and the course at Sandown will be to her liking.  Sylvestre De Sousa gets the leg up for Lordship Stud.

Three runners head to Yarmouth shortly.  Sir Robert Cheval and Encor D’Or head to post together at 5.10 pm in the 86-105 Handicap Stakes race over 5 furlongs.  Both horses run on better marks today and we will be keeping everything crossed for a one two today.  Gerald Mosse and Ryan Moore are the jockeys today for the team at Heart of the South Racing and Mrs Morley, Mr Johnson and Newsells Park Stud.  In the last race the 5.40pm 71-85 6 furlong Handicap Green Fortune runs in what we hope could be a repeat of his win back in July on same track and trip, we have kept the newly fitted visor and Ryan Moore rides today in the dark green silks of Saleh Al Homaizi & Imad Al Sagar.
