Dubai . . .
Our two runners on Saturday, 9th March were Monsieur Joe and Spirit Quartz, who both were having their first starts since October 2012.
They both ran in the Listed, Meydan Sprint over 5f. Drawn in 3 & 4, they were on the far side, when the eventually winner came storming down the rail on the opposite side, a high draw. Unfortunately both of our horses had to keep trying to creep across from their side to the near rail. They both ran fine races despite the circumstances, in particular Spirit Quartz, for his first race back ran with great promise, finishing a tight fifth place out of sixteen runners. Monsieur Joe finished again, a close eighth.
We are now awaiting to hear if they will be invited to run at the Dubai World Cup on Saturday 30th March . . .
