What happened during 2024?

2024 was a super year in terms of winners, 29 wins overall with 18 individual winners and most of our owners finding themselves in the winner’s circle at least once.

DEMOCRACY DILEMMA started the year in Dubai coming a very respectable 3rd in a competitive handicap before returning to the UK winning the CAA Stellar Handicap at Chester, second in the hurly burly Epsom Dash and then victory in the Listed Beverley Bullet ( a race that had always alluded us). The talented yet complicated CLARENDON HOUSE also started the year positively in Meydan before returning home to victories at York and then the Listed Midsummer Sprint in Cork which was fabulously exciting for all at Middleham Park Racing.

Sadly at the beginning of the year we lost one of our dear friends and owners Jeff Sargeant who we had known since 2008. Jeff part owned GOLDREAM and followed his wonderful journey winning numerous times including Group 1 successes at Royal Ascot in the Kings Stand and the Prix de L’Abbaye at Longchamp both in 2015 right through to his retirement as the York Racecourse ROR ambassador. He was a lovely, kind quiet man who really enjoyed and cared about his horses.

We did welcome some lovely new owners and some exciting horses and we look forward to seeing how the next year unfolds for them.
