Newmarket and Leicester
First off today and only having to travel a couple of miles down the road for a sunny afternoon at Newmarket July course, we have three runners taking on the competition in the 5.30 pm 66-85 Handicap over the minimum trip. Burford Brown is ridden today by Jim Crowley for the Ever Hopefuls, he had a good win at Ascot back in May. Grandfather Tom and Luke Morris won together at Yarmouth in April for Jeff Sargeant and Leo Minor won on same course and distance a year ago but was 8lb higher in the weights. Apprentice Dylan Hogan gets the leg up for Tom Morley. All should put in good accounts of themselves today and it will be exciting race to watch and see who comes out on top.
Our other runner is Leg it Lenny owned by the Leicester Tigers Racing Syndicate who makes his second start at Leicester this evening. He gave us a promising debut earlier in the month and felt from that he possibly needed a bit further so we stepped him up to 7 furlongs. Tom Queally gets the leg up and together they head to post at 6.25 pm in the EBF Novice Stakes.
