Tattersalls Horses In Training Sale . . .
This week, from Monday to Thursday Tattersalls holds the world famous Horses In Training sale. It is an exciting sale to potentially purchase and improve a horse that has been in training else where. There are always gems to be found in the sale each year. This year there is 1426 horses entered to go through the sales ring.
In 2009 we purchased a certain PROHIBIT from this very sale for 85,000 gns. He went on to give his new owners some great days out, some real fun and a Group 1 title!! He came to us in the Autumn of 2009. He had a little holiday here on the stud, we then prepared him for the Dubai Carnival in 2010. He came home and won a Conditions race at Kempton Park, then the Shergar Cup Dash at Ascot and the Listed, Scarborough Stakes at Doncaster. 2011, he went back out to the Dubai Carnival and won a very valuable handicap out there. He came home and went to Ascot in June to win the Group 1, The Kings Stand Stakes at the Royal meeting. At the end of the summer he bagged a Group 3 as well at Longchamp. He has ran in some fantastic races in between, including the Dubai World Cup.
There are certainly horses in the sale this year who now have the chance to improve just like this . . .
