Monsieur Joe Strikes Gold At Longchamp . . .
We are thrilled to witness Monsieur Joe deliver a fantastic performance in the Group 3 at Longchamp on Sunday.
We have now won this race for the last two years on the trot. We won the Prix Du Petit Couvert with Prohibit in 2011 . . .
Monsieur Joe took everything in his stride on Sunday, breaking the gate smartly, sitting just behind the front runner. He then picked him off in great style, without his Jockey, Olivier Peslier having to even give him a reminder to do so with his whip. He is in great form this season, having already won a valuable handicap in Dubai and then a Listed event at Deauville at the beginning of August.
We are all delighted at the season he has had since joining us at the very back end of 2011, and the success he has given his owners, Mr and Mrs Checkley.
He does hold an entry in the Group 1, Prix De L’Abbaye. A decision will be made in the near future as to whether he is to take his chance in that or to now have a holiday and then prepare for a return to Dubai in January 2013 . . .
