Saturday Runners . . .
This morning we declared three runners for Newmarket on Saturday, 25th August.
We will have Valley Of Wings, a Two-year-old by Three Valleys out of Overwing in the 1.45pm Maiden Stakes. This striking bay colt is bred and owned by Mr Keith Robinson. Valley Of Wings was born and raised here at Bottisham Heath Stud. We have all watched him grown up and develop and we are looking forward to seeing him on the race track on Saturday!
At 3.45pm Lui Rei will race in The Hopeful Stakes, a Listed event over 6f. Lui Rei has had a strong campaign this year in big handicaps at Epsom on Derby day, Royal Ascot and Glorious Goodwood. We hope he can be sharp out the gates and run a strong race again on Saturday. Richard Mullen takes the ride.
Lastly we will have Indian Tinker in the 5.10pm, a 5f Handicap. Indian Tinker won his Maiden at Sandown Park as a two-year-old, winning a nice Yearling Bonus prize at the same time. He has had a little time off since racing last time out in May and Shane Kelly is back on board.
