Thursday’s Three …
First to run this afternoon is Just Us Two who is travelling up North to Doncaster for the 3.55 pm 56-75 Handicap Stakes race over the minimum distance. This lovely horse is due to get back in the winners enclosure after a few inconsistent starts, fingers crossed its this afternoon. Tom Marquand takes the reins for Mr Tom Morley.
Onto the first day of the July festival at Newmarket where Orvar travels the short distance down the road for the 4.35 pm 81-100 Handicap Stakes over 5 furlongs. He has been thereabouts in his last two starts and he to is due a win. The ground conditions that have changed since declaration may not be quite to his liking but we will see how he fairs. James Doyle rides in the distinctive green silks of Mr Saleh Al Homaizi & Mr Imad Al Sagar.
Last to run this evening is Huntsmans Close he is off at 8.50 pm in the 66-85 Handicap Stakes over 6 furlongs. This horse has had a few starting issues but they have been improving well with his work at home, we have stepped him up in trip and added a hood to see if this helps his concentration.
