Weekend Action…
Today’s only runner is three year old Wadood who is on his way to Yarmouth ahead of the 5.10 pm 56-75 Handicap Stakes race over the minimum distance. He seems to prefer softer ground conditions and it may have dried out a little now so this may not be quite to his liking today. We have added a hood for the first time to try and help him keep his concentration. Fingers crossed for Luke Morris who gets the leg up for owner Mr Abdulla Al Mansoori.
Onto Saturday where Ornate runs in the 2.25 pm Chipchase Stakes over 6 furlongs. He has left the yard today to make the long journey up to Newcastle where he will enjoy an overnight stay and be fresh and ready for action. Joe Fanning rides for Cheveley Park Stud. Finally to Windsor for the last race on the card, the 5.35 pm Apprentice Handicap Stakes over 6 furlongs – back on board Captain Bob is our apprentice Jonathan Fisher who stormed to victory on him at Newmarket last month. Fingers crossed they can repeat this performance again. Jonathan rides in the white and purple colours of the Cool Silks Partnership.
