Deauville and Redcar racing today……..
SPIRIT QUARTZ left the yard early yesterday morning on his way to overnight accommodation in Deauville ahead of the 5 furlong Prix De Saint Georges race at 3.20 pm (local time) this afternoon. He ran a brilliant race in the Palace House Stakes at Newmarket last month narrowly beaten by one length to finish fourth. We feel he could be back to his best again and should be in with a good chance today in this small but competitive field. Martin Harley rides in the black and yellow silks of Ecurie La Boetie.
Our other two runners are at Redcar this afternoon. KIRINGA goes first in the 2.20 pm 5 furlong Handicap Stakes race, where she joins a field of 16 other runners. This three year old filly should do well off her mark and will run a good race today if she gets a good start out of the gates and a handy place to make her way through. James Sullivan rides for Manor Farm Stud. GRAND BEAUTY is our final runner of the day she ran well on her seasonal debut at Chelmsford a couple of weeks ago finishing 3rd, if she behaves she should be there or thereabouts today. Richard Kingscote gets the leg up for Mr Jaber Abdullah.
