Doncaster and Kempton Park …..
Two runners are settling into Doncaster racecourse ahead of the listed J2O Spritz Scarborough Stakes race at 3pm this afternoon. Four year old SPEEDHAWK and ten year old KINGSGATE NATIVE face each other over the 5 furlongs. KINGSGATE NATIVE carries a penalty in what looks to be a very competitive race, he has been in great shape here at home but may find one or two runners could be too good for him today. James Doyle takes the ride in the Cheveley Park Stud silks. SPEEDHAWK runs for the first time since being gelded. It’s all about the break with this horse so if he makes it a good one he could quite easily see himself get a place. Sylvestre De Sousa is on board for Mr Khalifa Dasmal.
Two year old filly JUMEIRAH STAR has just left the yard on her way to Kempton Park for her 6.20pm Nursery Handicap Stakes on the All Weather Track. Her last three starts have been over the shorter distance of 5 furlongs, we have stepped her up to 7 furlongs today but we feel her ideal will probably be in between. Richard Kingscote takes the ride for Mr Khalifa Dasmal.
Updates on these runners and more news to follow tomorrow….
