News On a Few Runners Today . . .
We have a handful of runners at two meetings today . . .
NORMAL EQUILIBRIUM and SECRETINTHEPARK head for the 2.10pm at Ascot. A Class 2 handicap over the minimum trip . . . NORMAL EQUILIBRIUM last raced a couple of weeks ago at Newmarket. He made all the running that day and just got tried in the final furlong on the climb to the finish. He is a genuine and big hearted horse who generally gives his all in his races. However today we plan to hold him up a little bit more, to allow him to finish his race strongly today . . . SECRETINTHEPARK is very much a similar story and we will try to adopt the same tactics. He is a horse that has done most of his racing over 6 furlongs, but on this stiff track today he should come with a big run in the final furlong, of course, with a bit of luck in running . . . It is a tough, competitive race today and we hope to see both horses run game races for their respective connections . . .
Sadly IFFRANESIA this morning has had to be made a non-runner on the going, which has quickened up overnight at York. She was due to contest the City Walls Listed race at 2.55pm . . . However we still have KINGSGATE NATIVE and SPEED HAWK primed to line up in this race . . . KINGSGATE NATIVE has to carry a penalty for his Listed win at Haydock Park in May, despite this he is a very capable horse on his day and is looking very well in himself here at home . . . SPEED HAWK is a talent colt, who at four-years-old has his best years ahead of him. He is starting to find his feet in this sort of company now, and with a bit of luck should run a solid race today . . .
