News From Bottisham Heath Stud . . .
We were thrilled to see ROYAL ACQUISITION run so well at Lingfield Park on Friday. Having only a week prior completed a stalls test with Gary Witheford, he behaved himself impeccably in the starting gates. He got in to a bit of trouble early on which paid a little in the dying strides, however we were thrilled with his gutsy display . . . He will now hold another entry for Friday, 10th April at Wolverhampton . . .
SPEED HAWK ran well at the Dubai World Cup . . . Although not placed, for a first time at Group 1 level he raced competitively. Sadly he was a little stuck behind the front pair on the rail, receiving plenty of dusty kick back which will not have suited him. He likes to race right up with the pace and not get stuck behind. Never the less we were pleased to see him run well . . . He will now have to do about three weeks in quarantine stabling in Dubai, having been there since 23rd December . . . The warmer climate will do him no harm at all and we hope to have him back in the yard by the end of April . . .
We have had a quiet week or two in regards to runners . . . We hope to be in full swing on the grass racetracks in a week or so. . .
