Happy New Year . . .

As we approach the end of 2014, we leave behind what has been a very successful year for our yard.  Statistically we have had a great year.  We finished 34th in the Trainers Championship table.  Which considering the number of trainers in Great Britain and the large, well known stables we finished above we are delighted with this position.  We are also content in the knowledge year on year we are making steady progress with winner numbers and total prize money gained each year.  Our highlight horse this year does have to be INTRINSIC who we brought a year ago from the Horses In Training sale at Tattersalls.  We kept him as a colt and gave him a really decent winters holiday.  He came back in to to training and made an instant impact by winning on his début for us at Ascot.  He then went on to clinch the Steward Cup at Glorious Goodwood.  We were delighted for his owner, Malih Al Basti, who is a fantastic supporter of ours and in fact in 2015 will sponsor our yard as a whole with his company – Al Basti Equiworld . . . There are a number of other horses who we must mention as having a good season – GOLDREAM raced at a consistent high level in handicaps this year . . . IFFRANESIA won plenty throughout the season, along with MOONSPRING . . . We were also delighted to see KINGSGATE NATIVE back in the winners circle at the ripe old age of Nine for Cheveley Park Stud.  Plus getting a win for them also with OASIS MIRAGE who they were not even sure would withstand training.  She is a beautifully bred filly and has now returned to the Stud with that win under belt to be covered by one of their Stallions in 2015 . . . There are so many things to mention in what has been a thrilling season for us.  We now look forward to 2015 with lots of anticipation and hope . . .
