The Sun Starts To Shine . . .
It has been wonderful to have blue skies and sunshine at last. It makes work far easier and the horses just thrive in these cool, bright conditions . . . With this winters very wet conditions, we have been fortunate here at Bottisham Heath Stud that we have good draining land and we have not suffered any flooding. However it fantastic that the ground is starting to now dry up a little so we can get on with all the routine yearly maintenance of the paddocks. The stud will really come in to its own once again, as the sun shines, and so the trees start to bud and open, the hedges that surround each paddock turn green and the grass grows again . . . Lots to look forward to!! . . .
On the racing front, we have been very quietly ticking away preparing and waiting for the start of the grass season. We will have a few more on the all weather before then . . . Next week we should have two or three runners to watch out for . . .
