New Recruits . . .
We have had plenty of new recruits in the last few weeks since the breeze up sales during the spring. . .
We have several new faces in the two-year-old department . . . A Captain Gerard filly called Naivasha, owned by Lady Lonsdale and her Lowther Racing title . . . a U S Ranger colt out of My Little Dragon arrived from Ireland two weeks ago for Speedlic Racing . . . An Elusive Quality filly out of Unacloud, named recently Vied, which is a very fitting name, meaning ‘ to compete eagerly with someone in order to do or achieve something’. She is owned by another new owners to us, Muhammed Nadeem and Yasmin Khan . . . A Holy Roman Emperor filly out of Lady Mickataine, also recently named, Skinny Love. She is owned jointly by Mr T W Morley and Mr J Barton . . .
We then have had several new arrivals in the older departments – A very lightly raced three-year-old colt was purchased from Italy by Sheikh Fahad and his Qatar Racing Limited. Victory Laurel has raced twice, his maiden and a Group 3 over 6f of which he won. Unfortunately he arrived just a little too late to give us time to prepare and enter him for Royal Ascot . . . He looks to be an exciting prospect given a bit of time to settle in . . . We then also received two, four-year-olds from Italy for Mr and Mrs Agostini, Scuderia Archi Romani . . . Maglietta Fina and Battibecco . . . Both have entries in the July Sale at Tattersalls on 9th & 10th July. We hope to have them racing very soon before these dates . . .
Lots of new names to watch out for . . .
