Weekend Runners…

Four horses and three race tracks on Saturday

Furthest to travel is Emphatic who will make his way up to Catterick Bridge early morning ahead of his race at 2.25 pm – the 6 furlong Novice Stakes.  This will be his second run after debuting at Beverley in July.  He is a strong athletic type and has certainly been showing some good speed on the track here at home.  Luke Morris rides in the distinctive red silks of Cheveley Park Stud.

Onto Newbury where Encor D’Or and Goldream line up together in the 5 furlong Group 3 World Trophy Stakes at 4 pm.  Goldream has been placed four times this year with his best result being a second in the Temple Stakes back in May.  He is certainly fit and well and as always we all look forward to watching him in action.  Fran Berry gets the ride for the first time for Mr Sargeant and Mrs Morley.  Encor D’Or races back again after winning the Listed Scarborough Stakes at Doncaster last week.  He is a super looking horse and on flying form, fingers crossed his luck continues.  Ryan Moore rides for Mrs Morley, Mr Johnson and Newsells Park Stud.

Lastly Kodiac Pearl who tries out Wolverhampton’s All Weather surface for the first time, she leaves the yard at midday for the 5.40 pm 46-55 Handicap Stakes over 5 furlongs. We have kept the hood on as it seemed to have a positive effect on her last run at Chepstow last month.  She has Adam Beschizza in the saddle today in the colours of Cool Silk Partnership.
