Robert Cowell Racing News

Saturday at Haydock

We have four runners Haydock bound leaving Saturday morning all ready to go to post together in the 4.50 pm 86-100 Handicap over the minimum distance.  They have had some considerable rain since declaration so the ground conditions have changed to heavy.  This should suit Storm Over who won on soft ground at Catterick last year and has not been out on tracks since victory on the all weather at Chelmsford back in June.  Paul Hanagan rides for Mr Abdulla Al Mansoori.  Blue De Vega makes another bid for a win, he has had a busy season and should put in a good account of himself again, Oisin Murphy gets the leg up for the Blue de Vega partnership.  Encor D’Or would probably prefer the ground to be on the faster side so we will probably have to do a check again on the ground in the morning to see if he travels up or not.  If he does he is ably partnered with Jim Crowley for Mrs Morley, Mr Johnson and Newsells Park Stud.  Last but not least is Sir Robert Cheval who the team at Heart of the South have had some great fun and some memorable days out with.  He is a fab horse with a fantastic heart so lets hope he can show us what he is made of again tomorrow.  Gerald Mosse will be on board.
